Autoimmune Diseases

“It never occurred to me that one day I’d wake up sick and never get better.”

Autoimmune disease

Autoimmune diseases include a wide variety of conditions. One thing that autoimmune diseases have in common is they involve the body’s immune system attacking its own tissues. There are many theories explaining how and why our body’s immune system may become “confused” and turn on itself, resulting in inflammation, that when prolonged, may damage the very components that were supposed to be protected. Fasting, followed by a health-promoting diet low in dietary antigens, may result in improved management of autoimmune disorders.
